This museum complex brings alive the fascinating history of the Pointe-à-Callière district. The Éperon showcases a multimedia show and an exhibition entitled "Here was born Montreal" which spills over into the crypt. The Old Customs' House (1838) houses the "Pirate or Privateer?" exhibition, while the Mariners' house, now called the Pavillon Banque Nationale, is home to various exhibition spaces plus a shop. It is also possible to visit the Youville pumping station and the remains of Ville Marie Fort.
