Saloum Delta National Park in the western part of the country is a 76,000 ha biosphere reserve with herons, avocets, terns (especially on Bird Island), all sorts of fish, and warthogs. A paradise of untamed nature combining land and water, mangrove swamps, forests and savannahs.
