Musée Yves Brayer
De Groene Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
This museum devoted to Figurative painter Yves Brayer (1907-1990) presents his paintings of Spain, Italy and Morocco, with their contrasting black, red and ochre tones, as well as bullfighting scenes and watercolours of his travels. But it is certainly the light of Provence's landscapes that inspired the artist's most successful works, such as Les Baux or Field of Almond Trees. Brayer also decorated the walls of the Chapelle des Pénitents Blancs (a couple of minutes away) with pastoral scenes.
