De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
Krimmler Ache, whose source stems from a glacier of the same name some 3,000m/10,000ft high, crashes down the mountain in spectacular fashion through the rocks and vegetation of the Salzach valley. Falling for over 380m/1,200ft, it is considered one of the most splendid waterfalls of the Alps. A well-marked trail leads up to the plateau overlooking the beginning of the waterfall. Allow at least 3hrs (return journey) over rough terrain if you want to see all the falls.
