Wat Phra Si Iriyabot is worth a visit for the superb standing Buddha which marks the site of the mondop to the rear of the temple. This 9m-high statue is typical of the Sukhothai style, as are the four high-relief statues which surround the building and which stand against its four curved walls. These statues, which have given the temple its name, represent the Enlightened One in the four canonical positions (seated, standing, reclining and walking) - a type of representation often associated with the forest temples and typical of Sukhothai art.
