In the mountains surrounding Haputale, especially towards Dambetenna, several tea estates are open to visitors. These sites of Ceylon tea production often afford sublime views of the hills and valleys below. They present an opportunity to stroll through tea bushes, in an impeccably manicured, bucolic landscape, and to compare tea vintages during tastings organised there.
