Canada's largest national park (44,807km²) has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983 and is one of the world's largest Dark Sky Preserves. It straddles the border between Alberta and the Northwest Territories and reveals the subtle beauty of Canada's Boreal Plains. It is home to rare animals who live in their natural habitat, including one of North America's largest herds of wild bison and the majestic whooping crane, an endangered species.
