Anlan Suspension Bridge
De Groene Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
This 261m-long suspension bridge is one of the last five major bridges from ancient China. It offers an exceptional panoramic view of the magnificent Dujiangyan irrigation system, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The first building, which preceded the advent of the Song dynasty (960-1279), had wooden towers and bamboo guardrails. The towers are now made of reinforced concrete and steel, but the materials of the footbridge, balustrades and rails remain wood and thick rope.
