De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
Here on June 25-26, 1876, in one of the final armed efforts to preserve their way of life, Lakota Sioux and Cheyenne warriors killed 272 US cavalrymen, including Lt. Col. George A. Custer. Natives know the conflict as the Battle of Greasy Grass; Americans often refer to it as Custer's Last Stand. Visitors can peruse the maps, photos and dioramas in the visitor center and museum, and roam outside among memorials and a national cemetery.
