This bridge crosses the River Guadalquivir between Puerta del Puente and Torre de la Calahorra. Built under Augustus, it has since been rebuilt many times, in particular during Arab rule. Now closed to traffic, it offers pleasant riverside walks. Downstream from the bridge, level with the little islands, you will see the Molinos Árabes (mills). On the bridge there is a small altar, often surrounded by candles and flowers, which houses a statue of St Rafael.
