Inland Steel Building
De Groene Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
This elegant skyscraper with a stainless-steel façade must have seemed like an apparition when it was unveiled. Bruce Graham designed a unique structural cage that supports the building outside of the wall plane, creating column-free floors. Furthermore, Inland Steel also pioneered the use of air-conditioning and double-glazing. The lobby is graced by Richard Lippold's Radiant I, a three-dimensional web of steel rods and wires.
