This church, dedicated to John the Baptist, is the oldest Roman Catholic church in Ireland and was inaugurated in 1795. The mosaics of the facade were added to commemorate the Eucharistic Congress which took place in Ireland in 1932. Another mosaic representing Christ the King, adorns the baptistry. Inside, the two galleries running the length of the building are particularly unusual, as is the upside down hull shape of the ceiling,
