With the Petite-Gargouille, this is the main street of the Vauban fort. Paved along some 1,000m/3,300ft, a fast-flowing channel cuts through a furrow in the middle, originally for fire-fighting purposes. Along the way you will see the Fontaine des Soupirs (Fountain of Sighs), the fine Renaissance façade of the Maison Prat (N°37) or the Maison des Têtes (N°13), portraying the owner's family.
