This vast square is the central point of the city of Banská Bystrica. It is the historical heart of the city, with the Town Hall (15C) and the Baroque Church of St Francis Xavier (1715). The most emblematic building is certainly the majestic clock tower, built in 1552 and once a guard tower. You can go to the top to drink in the magnificent panoramic view of the city.
