The Vanilla Coast, which extends to the northeast of the country, consists of the towns of Sambava, Antalaha, Vohemar and Andapa, hence the region's name of SAVA. The leading producer of vanilla in the world, the region boasts some beautiful walks through the forest but is not easily accessible in the rainy season.
