De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
A small expanse of greenery with two huts shrouded in clouds of smoke - such is the oasis of Hveravellir (alt. 650m), one of Iceland's largest geothermal sites and a designated protected area. The natural hot springs (40°C) are perfect for a relaxing soak, while a boardwalk footpath from the pool leads to Öskurhóll (the "roaring mound") and the strange pothole of Fagrihver. Hveravellir is also the starting point for hikes to Strýtur Crater and Þjófadalir.
