From this vantage point, you can take in a beautiful panorama of the most emblematic landscape of São Jorge. From here, seen in profile, the fajãs appear like festoons bordering the foot of vertiginous escarpments. Once you reach the bottom (5.5 km from Norte Pequeno), you'll discover a quiet, flower-filled hamlet with a chapel, a shady terrace café, a small lagoon popular with migratory birds and a long, wave-beaten beach of rough pebbles. In the distance, Graciosa comes into view.
