Lake Melo (alt. 1 711m), from which the Restonica flows, is one of the seven lakes of Monte Rotondo. Forming an almost perfect circle, it lies at the foot of escarpments over 2 000m high, including Punta Capitello and the Lombarduccio ridge, where, even in summer, some snow remains. For the hike to this lake that is popular with anglers, allow 2hr 30min there and back and be prepared to share the trail because the highest concentration of visitors to the the Corsican mountains is found here!
