The summit of the Ventoux is occupied by an air force radar station and a radio tower. From the Provence viewpoint, you can enjoy a vast panorama: from the Pelvoux massif to the Cévennes, via the Luberon, Mont Sainte-Victoire, the Estaque hills, Marseille and the Etang de Berre, the Alpilles and the Rhône valley. From the Alps belvedere, you can see the Dentelles de Montmirail, the heights of the right bank of the Rhône and the Alps. The descent begins on the northern slope, crossing pastures and fir woods.
