Set in a quiet area of the city, this attractive Arts and Crafts building is little sister to the Black Swan in Oldstead and uses some of the same produce from owner Tommy Banks' family farm. The tasting menus evolve naturally according to the availability of the ingredients, spotlighting creative, modern dishes that offer great refinement and depth of flavour – such as farm-grown brassicas with green rhubarb and 'peaso' (pea miso) or venison with artichoke and morel mushroom. There’s plenty of choice across the well-chosen wine list and multiple drinks pairings.
