Set in a hanok tucked away on a small street near Gyeongbokgung Palace, Muguok serves North Korean-style chicken dishes. Upon entering, guests are greeted by two large, steaming cast-iron gamasot in the centre of the dining hall. Steamed at high temperatures and portioned in front of the guests, the chicken is moist and bouncy with a clean flavour. The broth is rich and robust, with a long, satisfying finish. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., but guests can join the waitlist an hour in advance. The wait is absolutely worth it.
