Pascal Schwarz's second restaurant stands on the site of a 12C monastery. In addition to his fine dining restaurant, he also runs Gaststube in the historic monastery inn in the St Urban village (both located on the first floor). The modern interior has been tastefully integrated into the traditional setting, and on the terrace to the rear of the building, you can take in the view of the imposing abbey church, which is well worth visiting. The seasonal cuisine is mainly regional, with international touches. In the evening, there is a lovely à la carte menu featuring a number of tempting classics – "Pastrami burger, smoked beef brisket, marinated red cabbage, Swiss braided bun, aioli, chilli mayonnaise", "rolled pork cordon bleu made with free-range pork, Klosterschinken (speciality ham), Vacherin & Gruyère, onion confit, Bernese fries, market vegetables" or vitello tonnato. At lunchtime, there is a good selection of daily specials on the menu.
