De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
A stone's throw from Place de Clichy, Le Cyrano harbours a history as rich as its gilded mosaics. This former brothel which went on to become a haunt of André Breton and his fellow Surrealists now thrives under the stewardship of a group of four friends. In a lavish Art deco setting (frescoes illustrating Edmond Rostand's masterpiece, mosaics, mirrors), diners are seated at tightly packed tables. Beyond the bar, two chefs orchestrate a precise culinary symphony in which plants and vegetables play the leading roles: carbonara of celeriac, egg parfait and roast almonds; pork, sweet potato, cheddar and onion jus pie, with a fragrant rice pudding laced with black sesame seeds to finish. All at prices that won't break the bank.
