All those who set foot in this charming thatched inn will be drawn in by its appeal. The bar with its comfy sofas and enticing fireplace is the perfect place for an aperitif, while the lovely conservatory dining room looks out over the garden and smokehouse towards the sea. The three tasting menus are structured around the same format – sea/garden/animal/dessert – with each central ingredient surrounded by more elaborately prepared ‘satellites’. Many of the fruit and vegetables come from the estate itself and the chef, like an innkeeper, oversees the service as well as his kitchen.
