Authenticity is a word so often used as to be almost meaningless, but it is nonetheless the right term for the gutsy, flavoursome food of this establishment. The meat and fish recipes are steeped in generous mouth-watering flavours, such as 16-hour roast pork with mashed potato in olive oil. The lovely patio on the banks of the Sèvre Niortaise is also authentic.
