Would you like a clandestine experience where the ocean is the unequivocal protagonist? Here you can live it first-hand, as this restaurant is located in the surprising JNĉQUOI House hotel, in the heart of Lisbon, hidden beneath the equally interesting JNĉQUOI Fish, and with an entrance bar (The Mirror Room) that, with more than 1,000 mirrors, simulates an underwater garden (placing within your reach various creative cocktails, all inspired by the ocean’s depths). In the elegant room, dressed with diverse works of art, everything revolves around a “U”-shaped counter for 10 diners, which embraces the open kitchen at its centre. The chef in charge, Filipe Carvalho, emphasises, through a single tasting menu, Atlantic cuisine of fish and seafood, yet raises the bar even further with excellent products (caviar, truffle, ervilhas lágrima (teardrop peas)…) and extraordinarily refined preparations. Watching him work is a true spectacle!
