A truly spectacular location! Inside the TITLIS Tower, designed by the architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron, the concept is casual fine dining at an altitude of 3 000m. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame a breathtaking panoramic view of the Swiss Alps – the window tables are of course especially sought after. In a pleasingly easygoing and relaxed setting, André Kneubühler – formerly at the helm of the kitchen at The Omnia in Zermatt – delivers refined, creative cuisine. Diners can choose between à la carte dishes and a three- or four-course surprise menu. Alternatively, the adjoining Alpine Lounge proposes a slightly more informal dining experience. Good to know: The restaurant can only be reached by cable car. The highlight comes on the final stretch of the ride, when the gondola rotates a full 360 degrees, affording a view of the mountains that is hard to beat! Once at the tower, a lift whisks you up to the restaurant, passing the world's highest Rolex boutique on the way. Allow around 90min for the journey.
