The team from nearby Coarse are behind this bright, two-floored restaurant on the edge of historic Durham. Brunch is a feature of their offering, before a range of sharing plates takes over, led by a strong selection of vegetable dishes such as the terrific salt and pepper tempura tenderstem broccoli. The likes of chicken schnitzel with wild garlic butter epitomise the generosity of the cooking, delivering bucketloads of flavour without breaking the bank.
