Within the luxurious Grand Hotel Majestic, though with its own independent entrance, the restaurant welcomes guests into a dining room of great impact, presided over by a spectacular ceiling frescoed in the seventeenth century by the school of the Carracci. An ideal setting for special occasions, which finds further expression in the cuisine of chef Agostino Schettino. Originally from Castellammare di Stabia, the chef weaves Emilian and Neapolitan influences into his offering: emblematic in this regard is the tasting menu “La Dotta, La Grassa, La Rossa”, an homage to Bolognese tradition. More generally, his is a contemporary Mediterranean cuisine, balanced with confidence between sea – as in the sea bass with charred lettuce, almond, oyster and caviar – and land, with dishes such as the lamb accompanied by scorzonera and marinated red onion. For the pairings, alongside the expertise of the sommelier, a well-considered cocktail offering distinguishes itself as an original complement to the wine list.
