Located in a 200-year-old farmhouse, restored with great success, where each of its corners enhances the experience and exalts the beautiful natural environment, this spot is an ideal place to go just for the mundane pleasure of taking a walk there, even if you’re not hungry.It has a cosy area for enjoying a snack at the entrance, a tavern-like area that invites you inside without involving a steadfast commitment, then a bistro (here they offer a set lunch menu and one they call Erro) and, finally, the well-kept gastronomic dining room, where you can order à la carte or taste the Ehiza and Beñat Ormaetxea menus (named after the owner-chef, who signs off on his most innovative proposal personally). With a traditional foundation but with very contemporary elaborations and a special devotion to hunting recipes, the cuisine surprises with dishes as delicious as the foie gras terrine, with a hint of pacharán and crunchy almonds, or the wild boar cheek stewed in Rioja Alavesa red wine.
