The town of Auxerre has maintained a number of beautiful houses, which are often 16C. The rue de la Fécauderie (half-timbered houses) takes you to the Town Hall where you will see old houses (at n° 4, 6, 16, 17, 18) and pass a multi-coloured statue of Marie Noël (1883-1967) as an old woman, probably searching for inner peace.
