- Whitewashed former pub overlooking the mountains. Rustic bar and three dining rooms - one cosy and open-fired with wood beams, another with a glass-fronted wine cellar and the third, with large windows and an airy feel. Extensive menus of robust, flavoursome dishes with Italian influences. Spacious, modern bedrooms boast light oak furnishings and excellent bathrooms.

We had an early dnner, the table was booked for others after so we needed to be off the table by 8:45. At 9:15 we finished and had not been pressured to hurry up.. The scallops and pork belly was a flavour combination i did not expect to work as well as it did but wow! Deep fried Avacado-yum.. The bah bah black sheep, a meat lovers feast that 2 could not finish... A wine list and menu with bewildering delights.

Portion sizes were uncomfortably genorous, we could not manage a dessert, but i guess we didn't need to eat it all. Being really picky, the gravy needed reducing to increase the flavour, the liver was slightly over, the scallops slightly under and the shepherds pie was a bit salty.

very small portion of Roast Beef. Gravy is not cooked enough. Overcooked vegetables. Reminiscent of an old people home. Too many flies.
