Some people like Valencia for its Gothic buildings, ceramics, famous 15C artists or old town ringed by fortified gates. Others appreciate the exuberance of its baroque facades, gardens, shaded avenues of palm trees, beaches and lively nightlife. But it has all that and yet still more. The third largest city in Spain, at the centre of a very large built-up area, hides a real dynamism beneath a nonchalant charm.
