Varna: De plaats ontdekken

Varna, also known as the "pearl of the Black Sea", owes its charm to the presence of the sea and to its superb maritime garden crowned by foliage. The town, named Odesos by the Greeks, has always attracted people. Varna was an important holiday resort during the 20C and, from this period, it has retained a certain nostalgic atmosphere: buildings of various styles boasting fine pastel-coloured façades. Today, Bulgaria's third important city is a trendy town where many artists and intellectuals like to get together during the fine season.
