De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
The 1 800m-long Boulevard des Pyrénées dates from the late 19C. It overlooks the terraced gardens that link the upper and lower towns of Pau by the Sentiers du Roy (King's paths) and commands a splendid view of the Pyrenees - plaques on the balustrade indicate the different peaks (and their altitude) in the distance. Beaumont park lies at one end of the boulevard, complete with a rose garden, lake and Beaumont palace, the former winter palace dating from 1900, which is now home to a conference centre .
